Mother Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mary, is the mother of Jesus Christ and one of the most honoured figures in Christianity. She was born into a humble Jewish family and was chosen by God to become the mother of the Saviour. Her life was marked by faith, humility, obedience, courage and unconditional love. From her response to the angel Gabriel, “Let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38), to her presence at the foot of the Cross, Mary remained faithful to God's plan. As the mother of Jesus, she nurtured him with love and guided him in his human growth. Her life stands as a beautiful example of trust in God, perseverance in difficulties and compassionate service to others.
As the Patroness of our school, Mother Mary inspires us to make education a journey of knowledge, character formation and spiritual growth. She reminds us that education is not merely about academic achievement, but also about developing wisdom, discipline, kindness, responsibility and respect for every human person. Like a loving mother, she encourages us to recognise the uniqueness and potential of every child and to create an environment where students feel loved, supported and inspired to excel. Her concern for others, seen in her visit to Elizabeth and her words at the wedding feast at Cana, teaches us to be attentive to the needs of others and to use our talents in service of society. Under her maternal guidance, may our school continue to form young minds and hearts rooted in faith, committed to excellence and dedicated to building a compassionate and just world.
